Is there anyone who should not work with psychedelics?

Yes. Before you begin working with psychedelics, be sure the medicine you are working with is safe for you. If you are unsure, please do your research and seek professional support, as each psychedelic medicine has different contraindications.

For those who have a history of mania or psychosis, or a diagnosis of bipolar I or schizophrenia, there is the possibility of an exacerbation of symptoms when working with psychedelics, so it is not recommended.

It is not recommended for anyone on the following medications to work with psilocybin, as they can negatively interact with the psychedelic medicine:

  • Lithium

  • Tricyclic Antidepressants (SSRI's & SNRI's are typically okay)

  • MAOI's

  • Tramadol

It is not recommended for anyone with a heart condition to work with psychedelics.

We also do not recommend anyone taking antibiotics, antihistamines, or any other medication to treat temporary physical illness work with any psychedelic medicine. Wait to begin until your medication is finished and you are feeling better.

Ayahuasca has many serious contraindications, including antidepressants. If you are considering working with Ayahuasca, please speak with those in charge of the ceremony to be sure it is safe for you to attend.

Which course do you recommend for a beginner?

If you are feeling called to begin a microdosing practice, we recommend joining Microdose.

Microdose guides you, step-by-step, in creating and moving through your very own intentional microdosing practice. This course provides you with daily rituals to do alongside your protocol, as well, to support you in receiving the greatest amount of benefit from your work with the medicine.

If you are feeling called to a low-dose medicine experience, we recommend joining Mesodose. Mesodose walks you through an intentional low-dose medicine experience from beginning to end. This course includes prep support, navigation support, and integration support.

Explore each of our courses and see which one is calling to you the most. Allow your intuition to guide you.

I want to begin microdosing. What offering do you recommend?

If you are feeling called to move through an intentional microdosing practice, we offer two different options to support you in your work:

1. Our self-paced Microdose course, which will support you in creating and moving through your practice.

2. A 5-week intentional microdosing container with Michael. Here you receive our Microdose course, 5 private sessions with Micahel, as well as text/voicenote support the whole way through.

The difference in options is the level of support. The first option is all self-paced, and the container with Michael provides you with a high level of personal support.

What is a psychedelic experience?

A psychedelic experience is an opportunity to explore new and expanded realms of consciousness. When used with intention, care, and respect, psychedelics can provide a pathway towards profound healing, growth, and transformation.

The legality of a particular psychedelic medicine depends upon where it is being worked with. While psychedelics are not yet legal all around the world, millions of people continue to work with them.

Our intention is to provide resources and support to assist you in your work with psychedelics, so that you may have a safe and supportive experience, and receive the greatest amount of benefit from your medicine work.

Are psychedelics safe?

Psychedelics are typically very physically safe. Psychedelic medicines such as psilocybin-containing mushrooms and LSD require extremely high doses in order to become toxic to the body. That being said, there are certain contraindications for each psychedelic medicine, such as specific medications or pre-existing physical and psychological conditions.

There are certain people for which this work is not recommended, in particular those who are pregnant or breastfeeding (microdosing certain psychedelics can be okay here, depending on the specific person and circumstances), those who have a heart condition, or those who have a personal or strong family history of psychosis and/or mania. It is suggested that those with a diagnosis of bipolar I and schizophrenia refrain from working with psychedelic medicines, as symptoms can be exacerbated. If you are currently taking an antidepressant or other medication, please consult with your prescribing physician regarding any potential interactions.

Ayahuasca has many serious contraindications, including antidepressants. If you are considering working with Ayahuasca, please speak with those in charge of the ceremony to make sure it is safe for you to attend.

If you are uncertain whether a particular psychedelic medicine will be safe for you, please do your research. You can read online, ask a medical professional, or speak with someone who is highly knowledgeable about psychedelics.

The set (mindset) and setting for your medicine work are extremely important factors that contribute to the safety of the work you do, as well. You always want to be sure you are working in a safe way, safe space, and with those you trust. Our courses support you in arriving at your work with a safe set and setting.

Do not consume any psychedelic medicine without being sure it is safe for you.

Will working with psychedelics cure me?

Psychedelics alone will not cure you or change your life. Intentional work with psychedelics, however, can support you in healing and changing your own life.

There is no magic pill or plant that will allow you to bypass the healing your soul desires. This work requires you to be an active participant in your healing.

Intentional work with psychedelics can be a powerful and profound tool on the path of healing. The key to long-term healing and evolution lies within the integration of your medicine work.

What is integration?

Integration involves processing your intentional work with the medicine, in order to understand and make meaning of your experience. Integration assists you in reflecting on your experience, the main messages you received, identifying insights, and implementing the wisdom of your medicine work into your daily life.

Integration supports you in utilizing the wisdom of your experience with the medicine to improve your daily life.

Intentional work with psychedelics can feel confusing or challenging to process on your own. We recommend having support to integrate, as you are not meant to heal alone.

Integration is the key to long-term healing and evolution when working intentionally with psychedelics.

Our courses support you in integrating your intentional medicine work, and we are always available to assist you one-on-one in a private session, as well.

Can I work with psychedelics alone?

The answer depends on what type of medicine work you are doing.

Microdosing (which is when you work with a sub-perceptual amount of psychedelic medicine) alone is typically okay, however we do not recommend embarking upon a full-dose medicine journey alone.

Always journey with someone you trust and feel safe with, whether they are sitting for you or journeying with you. Having someone with you ensures the greatest amount of safety and comfort throughout your experience.
